Mead is 0-10 against the Wildcats since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Mead Panthers have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Mt. Spokane Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Mead will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Wildcats are ranked first).
Last Friday, Mead was the victim of a tough 79-53 defeat at the hands of the Bullpups. Mead was down 62-40 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Meanwhile, Mt. Spokane put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Ridgeline 81-59. The victory was just what Mt. Spokane needed coming off of a 79-54 defeat in their prior matchup.
Mead has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Mt. Spokane, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3.
