The Wellington Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Monday. They managed a  47-41 victory over Frontier Academy. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for Wellington as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wellington to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Brookelyn Jones, who  dropped  a double-double on 14 points and 12  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Jones has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ava Essay, who  scored ten points along with five  steals.
 Frontier Academy's loss  came despite strong showings from  Emily Gesick and  Macee Flores.  Gesick  scored 15 points along with nine  rebounds and four  steals, while  Flores  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and 11  rebounds. Gesick is absolutely dominating the  steal category: she's  posted at least two every time she's  taken the court this season.
 Wellington's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Frontier Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wellington will  square off against Poudre Community Academy at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Frontier Academy, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Valley at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Hopefully Valley focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
