After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last seven contests, Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech finally came back down to earth  on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory  and fell  1-0 to Sankofa Freedom Academy. After a  73-58 finish the last time they played, Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech and the Warriors decided to play a little more cautiously this time around.
 Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Zachary Campbell, who  scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was  Samuel Thomas, who  scored 11 points.
 Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Sankofa Freedom Academy, their victory  ended a six-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 9-12.
 Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech has the luxury  of staying home another  game and will welcome the Pioneers at 3:15  p.m.  on January 29th. Frankford is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a three-game streak of away losses. As for Sankofa Freedom Academy, they will head out on the road to  square off against  the  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Audenried has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7.
