The Beloit Trojans put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 72-51 margin over Ulysses. Given Beloit's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Ulysses is ranked 126th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Bryce Beisner, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Eli Johnson, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Beloit pushed their record up to 9-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Ulysses, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beloit will take on Sacred Heart at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sacred Heart is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Ulysses, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wichita County at 7:30 p.m.
