It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans can now relate to. They were dealt a 65-7 defeat at the hands of Columbine on Friday. Fountain-Fort Carson has struggled against Columbine recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Fountain-Fort Carson still got an impressive performance from Mathias Price, who rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Price really tore up the turf during one magnificent 81-yard run.
It was another big night for Josh Snyder, who rushed for 168 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Moreno, who rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Fountain-Fort Carson's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Columbine, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Fountain-Fort Carson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Columbine will play host again and welcome Legend, where kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Legend will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
