Ken Chatman Delivers Best Performance of Season
Sadly, Ken Chatman posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Natchez over Brookhaven on Thursday. Chatman picked up 181 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 85 yards.
This year, Chatman has caught 6 touchdowns while averaging 77.2 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had three receiving touchdowns.

North Pike was sadly handed a loss on Thursday, but Jakobe Barnes did his best to prevent it. Barnes was dynamite, making five total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Jakevious Smith put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Thursday. He rushed for 111 yards on only 12 carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards.
For the year, Smith has averaged 11.7 receiving yards per game.

Natchez Gets a Boost from Irving in 36-20 Defeat
The second Natchez player making an appearance here is Jakel Irving, and for good reason. He made 11 total tackles (3.0 for loss). He has been hot recently, having posted six or more total tackles the last three times he's played.
On the season, Irving has averaged 6.4 total tackles per game.

A Constellation of Stars for Natchez
Another Natchez player making an appearance on this list is Carl Mcdonald Jr. He rushed for 137 yards on only 13 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 107 rushing yards.
Unfortunately for Brookhaven, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Mcdonald Jr. Mcdonald Jr rushed for 179 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.2 yards per carry the last time he and the Panthers duked it out back in November of 2023.
