Adding to the longest winning streak in Northwest this week, Jefferson beat Crestview 34-21. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Wildcats.
Ada was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. The Bulldogs vanquished Paulding 30-6 earlier in the week.
Columbus Grove's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Riley Brubaker has thrown for 362 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Mason Smith has 8 catches for 142 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Columbus Grove takes on Jefferson. The Bulldogs' offense has racked up 67 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Bub Lindeman's team has allowed only 63 on the year.
The Knights are in fifth place, while Ada is in second place.
Lima Central Catholic moved up to 132 from 173 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Northwest. The Thunderbirds climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Spencerville 42-14.
