Wimberley is 1-9 against Fredericksburg since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Texans will take on the Billies at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Wimberley had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Bandera on Tuesday. The Texans never let the BULLDOGS get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Texans haven't had any issues with the BULLDOGS recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Charlotte Woodward looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Makenna Duecker made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off eight hits. Duecker was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Schoessow, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Ava Stuewe, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Wimberley skirted past Fredericksburg 4-3 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Texans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
