You might not recognize the power rankings this week after a busy last week rearranged the teams a whole lot. A special shoutout goes to Peddie's senior Maurice Bellan, who scored six total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.

Rumson-Fair Haven managed to bank 182 more yards than its opponent Middletown North last week, and going the extra distance paid off. The final score between Rumson-Fair Haven and Middletown North was a 42 - 7 blowout in Rumson-Fair Haven's favor. No one had a larger role in the success than senior Alex Maldjian, who brought his A game into the contest. He ran for 140 yards and also punched in four touchdowns. Thanks to its success, Rumson-Fair Haven cracked into the power rankings and now occupies the 16th spot.
Can't Touch This
Peddie's 51 - 7 win over Wyoming Seminary College Prep last week had a lot to do with the leadership of senior Maurice Bellan. Bellan tossed the ball for 404 yards and six TDs. In fact, our algorithms singled out Bellan as one of the top players in the power rankings for the week.
This Week's Big Showdown
The showdown between St. Peter's Prep (1st in the power rankings) and Bergen Catholic (2nd) shaped up to be more of a takedown. St. Peter's Prep took its contest against Bergen Catholic by a conclusive 34 - 7 score. One star in particular for St. Peter's Prep was senior Maasai Maynor, who threw for 258 yards and four touchdowns.
No Stoppin 'Em
Don Bosco Prep not only got the result it was looking for last game, but the team outscored its opponent West Orange in every quarter. Don Bosco Prep had all the answers against West Orange, winning 47 - 20. Don Bosco Prep made sure to walk the walk to justify being talked up as the big favorite. The combined 67 points was the most of any game featuring a power-ranked team.
