Given Strong Rock Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Westfield School is ranked 459th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Strong Rock Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zack Phillips, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Phillips has scored at least a third of Strong Rock Christian's points. Landon Stancil was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Strong Rock Christian's victory bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Westfield School, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-18.
Strong Rock Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-39 loss vs. St. Anne-Pacelli on the 10th. Westfield School will head out on the road to face off against Strong Rock Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
