The Comstock Colts's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their seventh straight loss. They took a serious blow against Cassopolis, falling 50-20. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Comstock has scored all season.
Kenny May continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cassopolis, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. May is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Malachi Ward was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals.
Comstock has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Cassopolis, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Comstock won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lawrence at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (Lawrence is ranked 668th, while Comstock is ranked 683rd). Cassopolis will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against White Pigeon at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st.
