Baseball Recap: Broadneck Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Broadneck had won four straight at home, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 16-1 to make it five. They put the hurt on the Arundel Wildcats with a sharp 11-2 victory. Considering the Bruins have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Arundel, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Arundel's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Niles, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Broadneck will face off against rival Chesapeake at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bruins 1.8, the Cougars 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Arundel is set to take on their familiar foe Crofton on Wednesday.
