Benson lost against Desert Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday. Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Jason Santo, who  posted five  points and three  steals. Those three  steals gave  Santo a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Harley Vanwormer, who  earned six points.
 Even though they lost, Benson  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 25  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive boards in 14 consecutive  contests.
  Tyson Dobbins was  his usual excellent self,  going 8 for 12  to rack up 26  points in addition to eight  boards and four  blocks for Desert Christian. The  game was  Dobbins' sixth in a row with at least 16 points.  Cooper Payne was another key player,  putting up nine points and five  rebounds.
Benson has  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matches,  which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record  this season. As for Desert Christian, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 16 of their last 17 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 26-3 record  this season.
