The Bishop Ready Silver Knights will take on the Licking Valley Panthers at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Bishop Ready is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Eastmoor Academy as they made off with a 19-3 victory. The Silver Knights' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Anna Arnold was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josie Forster, who went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Bishop Ready always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .628. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Licking Valley strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Heath an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Panthers have won 15 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Emory Whisner made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Licking Valley got a massive performance out of Alexa Gilliam, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, four RBI, and one run. D'Neya Dennis was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Bishop Ready's record now sits at 7-18. As for Licking Valley, their record is now 23-0.
Bishop Ready might still be hurting after the 14-0 defeat they got from Licking Valley when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Silver Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
