It was a good run, but the Raceland Rams unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 69-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Russell. Raceland has not had much luck with Russell recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Russell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elijah Neel, who scored 22 points. Noah Quinn was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Raceland's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7. As for Russell, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Raceland will face off against Clinton County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kentucky (Clinton County is ranked 154th, while Raceland is ranked 177th). As for Russell, they will head out on the road to take on Blazer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Blazer knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Russell likes a good challenge.
