Newton Falls kept up with Chippewa until halftime on Thursday, but afterwards: not so much. The Chipps were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for Chippewa, who have now won six contests by five goals or more so far this season.

Chippewa has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-10-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those five matchups. As for Newton Falls, their loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6-2.

Chippewa has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Central Christian on the 25th. Newton Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
