Memorial will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Columbia at 7:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Memorial had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a serious blow against Bayonne last week, falling 0-54. Memorial were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-38.
Meanwhile, Columbia couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were given a punishing 7-44 defeat at the hands of Central. The state rankings had actually given Columbia a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
The losses dropped both teams to 0-1. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
