Henrietta has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Holliday Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Henrietta will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1114th, while the Eagles are ranked 80th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 77-37, which was the final score in Henrietta's tilt against the Lions on Friday.
Meanwhile, Holliday had already won 24 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 points), and they went ahead and made it 25 on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Jacksboro as Holliday made off with a 80-54 win. Holliday's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Holliday to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keitenn Bristow, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Bristow has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last 22 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Howard, who scored 16 points along with six assists and two steals.
Henrietta has been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 17 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for Holliday, they pushed their record up to 25-2 with that win, which was their 11th straight on the road.
Henrietta took a serious blow against the Eagles when the teams last played back in January, falling 75-29. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bristow, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Now that Henrietta knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
