The Lakeway Christian Academy Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 68-16 win over Clayton-Bradley Academy on the road. Given Lakeway Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while Clayton-Bradley Academy is ranked 357th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lakeway Christian Academy was led to victory by Kayla Underwood and Kami Wilson. Underwood scored 16 points, while Wilson scored 18 points along with six assists and four steals. The match was Wilson's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Linx, who scored 12 points.
Bria Moynihan and MJ Brooks certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Moynihan scored seven points along with six rebounds, while Brooks scored four points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moynihan has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Clayton-Bradley Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Lakeway Christian Academy pulled down 20 offensive rebounds.
Lakeway Christian Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-5. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 57 points. As for Clayton-Bradley Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Lakeway Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Campbell County at 6:00 p.m. As for Clayton-Bradley Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Berean Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
