On Saturday, Liberty came up short against Johnston  and fell  55-42.
 Liberty's loss  came despite strong showings from  Trey Hughes and  Maddoc Coapstick.  Hughes  scored 14 points along with five  rebounds, while  Coapstick  scored nine points.  Cooper Webb was another key contributor,  scoring seven points.
 Liberty has  been struggling recently, as they've  lost six of their last eight matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Johnston, they now  have a winning record of 9-8.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty will take on Dubuque Senior at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Johnston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwest at 7:45  p.m.  on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Iowa (Northwest is ranked 54th, while Johnston is ranked 59th).
