Roosevelt is 0-3 against Woodridge since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Roosevelt Rough Riders will head out on the road to face off against the Woodridge Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Roosevelt will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Roosevelt beat Revere 58-54.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roosevelt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anthony Helton, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds. Those eight rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Grant Leslie was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Woodridge beat Streetsboro 51-44 on Thursday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Woodridge has managed all season.
Roosevelt now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Woodridge, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.
Things could have been worse for Roosevelt, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-44 loss to Woodridge in their previous meeting back in February of 2018. Can Roosevelt avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
