Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Satsuma Gators, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against the Aggies on Monday, falling 75-20. Satsuma has not had much luck with the Aggies recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Leading Jackson to victory were Keeyun Chapman and Landon Duckworth. Chapman scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals, while Duckworth scored 16 points along with five steals. Chapman has been hot recently, having posted three or more blocks the last five times he's played. Micah Caster was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
Satsuma has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 17 of their last 18 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-24 record this season. As for Jackson, their victory was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-2.
Satsuma does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jackson will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m.
