 Allison Lui made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  struck out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits (and only one walk). With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 5.2  strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Juliette Ramirez was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.  Hailey Truong was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Terra Nova came up short against Mercy on Thursday and fell  15-11.
  Emma Bailey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Caitlyn Lobo, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of her six plate appearances.
 Notre Dame's win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 7-3-1. As for Terra Nova, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
 Notre Dame took their  victory against Terra Nova  in their previous matchup  back in March of 2022 by a conclusive  17-1 score. Does  Notre Dame have another victory up their sleeve, or will Terra Nova turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
