The Promise Academy II Titans had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past American Christian School with a 63-58 victory on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several American Christian School players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Japhet Santiago, who scored 17 points. Santiago scored a full 29.3% of American Christian School's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Elijah Kenyi was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Promise Academy II's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for American Christian School, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
