Jennings has gone a perfect 3-0 against Breaux Bridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. Jennings will take on Breaux Bridge at 9:00 a.m. Jennings will be strutting in after a win while Breaux Bridge will be coming in after a loss.

Jennings will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Northwood on Friday. Jennings put the hurt on Northwood with a sharp 18-7 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by ten runs or more this season.

Mya Fontenot was a standout: she scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Pearl Whitman also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Fontenot wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Jennings kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Breaux Bridge lost 9-3 to Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy on Thursday.

Breaux Bridge saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoey Simoneaux, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Laiylah Albert was another, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Jennings' win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Breaux Bridge, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12.

Saturday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Jennings hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .385. However, it's not like Breaux Bridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .506. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Jennings took their victory against Breaux Bridge when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 14-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jennings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
