Hubbard suffered their biggest defeat since December 14, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 80-53 loss at the hands of Marlin. Hubbard has struggled against Marlin recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Axtell, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 68-54 loss to Dawson on Tuesday.
Hubbard has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season. As for Axtell, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-12.
Hubbard strolled past Axtell when the teams last played on January 2nd by a score of 46-30. Will Hubbard repeat their success, or does Axtell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
