After two games on the road, West Valley is heading back home. They will take on the Lassen Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 86-55, which was the final score in West Valley's tilt against University Prep on Wednesday. West Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-24.
Meanwhile, Lassen scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Central Valley 79-37 at home. Lassen pushed the score to 55-25 by the end of the third, a deficit Central Valley had little chance of recovering from.
West Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Lassen, their victory bumped their record up to 14-12.
West Valley came up short against Lassen in their previous meeting back in January, falling 62-51. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lassen's Joey Harrison, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds. Now that West Valley knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
