The Whitefish Bulldogs''s found some homefield redemption this week after a tough overtime loss to the Polson Pirates on Friday. Whitefish breezed by Browning at home to the tune of 50-14. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Whitefish also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2020.
Carson Gulick had a dynamite game for Whitefish, throwing for 302 yards and five touchdowns while completing 82.6% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Dane Hunt, who picked up 76 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Although Browning took the loss, they still got scores from Maurice Redhorn III and Ashton Granados.
Whitefish's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 4-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.0 points per game. As for Browning, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Whitefish will head out on the road to face off against Columbia Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbia Falls has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 188 points over their last four games. Browning does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
