Tanner Grove gave up the fewest hits he has since back in April of 2024 on Monday. He was dynamite, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because St. Mary is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 1-4 otherwise.

Grove's strong effort led St. Mary's over West and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Mary's is a perfect 9-0 against West going back to April of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
