The D'Evelyn Jaguars had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against Conifer by a score of 57-46. That result was just more of the same for these two, as D'Evelyn also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Leading D'Evelyn to victory were Robelle Abai and Vince Scaturro. Abai scored ten points along with two steals, while Scaturro scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Taj Kumar, who scored nine points.
D'Evelyn's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Conifer, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
D'Evelyn will head out on the road to take on Standley Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Standley Lake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Wednesday. As for Conifer, they will be playing at home against Wheat Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Wheat Ridge is ranked 254th, while Conifer is ranked 243rd).
