The biggest upset of the week belonged to Livingston Academy, who took down 32nd ranked DeKalb County, 35-14.
Smith County extended the longest winning streak in AA District 8 this week by beating York Institute, 47-40. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
DeKalb County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Lucas Phillips has thrown for 1965 yards and 34 touchdowns this season, while Will Molander has 36 catches for 817 yards. Phillips also leads the league in rushing with 382 yards.
The Tigers' Phillips is within 35 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against Sequoyah.
Upperman took down Cannon County 44-22 last week, the largest margin of any game.
