The Trinity Celtics won the last time they faced the El Dorado Wildcats, and things went their way on Thursday too. Trinity narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past El Dorado 49-47. The win made it back-to-back wins for Trinity.
Despite the loss, El Dorado still got an impressive performance from Logan Garner, who scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Garner scored a full 40.4% of El Dorado's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Scott, who scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds.
Trinity now has a winning record of 2-1. As for El Dorado, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity will be home for the holidays to greet Belle Plaine on Friday. El Dorado will take on Pratt at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday.
