Crossings Christian won the last time they faced Southwest Covenant and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Knights walked away with  a   6-1  victory over the Patriots. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Knights.
 Maddox Turner made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Turner was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.

 In other batting news,  Brennan White and  Kade Wienstroer did most of the damage at the plate:  White  scored two  runs and  stole two bases, while  Wienstroer  went 1-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double. Those  three  RBI gave  Wienstroer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Benjamin Staton, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Crossings Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Southwest Covenant, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the  defeat, which was their 12th straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crossings Christian will square off against Luther at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Knights are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak. As for Southwest Covenant, they will venture away from home to  challenge Wayne  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
