The Dell City Cougars won the last time they faced the Jesus Chapel Chargers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Dell City walked away with a 53-43 victory over Jesus Chapel. The win made it back-to-back wins for Dell City.
Dell City got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Reyes Espinoza out in front who scored 13 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Estrada, who scored 17 points along with 3 steals.
Dell City's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Jesus Chapel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dell City will take on Immanuel Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Immanuel Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 260 points over their last four games. Jesus Chapel will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fort Hancock at 6:30 p.m. on December 19th.
