Kalamazoo Central had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Otsego on Monday. The Maroon Giants were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Bulldogs. The Maroon Giants have beaten the Bulldogs the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.

Tro Fellings was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eliot Goerge, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Kalamazoo Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Otsego only posted an OBP of .333.

Kalamazoo Central pushed their record up to 5-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Otsego, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
