BarBara Jo Coppola was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Vasti, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Pearl River never let their opponents score on Monday. Everything went their way against Gorton as they made off with a 16-0 win.
Harrison pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Pearl River, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
