After a string of four wins, the Thomas Sumter Academy Generals's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 67-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northside Christian Academy. The final score was a far cry from the score of their previous head-to-head, which saw the teams combine for 47 points.
Northside Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Natalie Walke, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleigh Howell, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds.
Thomas Sumter Academy's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3. As for Northside Christian Academy, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6.

As for Northside Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Orangeburg Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Orangeburg Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Northside Christian Academy in South Carolina (Orangeburg Prep is ranked 18th, while Northside Christian Academy is ranked 135th).
