When it comes to explaining why Birchwood Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Leia West. Despite the final result, she scored four points along with six rebounds and six steals. West hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games.
Tanalian pushed their record up to 2-0 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Birchwood Christian, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Tanalian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tuluksak on February 23rd. As for Birchwood Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Lumen Christi on Tuesday.
