Benton entered their tilt with Vilonia on Tuesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Eagles a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 16 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Benton pushed their record up to 21-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Vilonia, the loss snapped their winning streak at ten games and leaves them with a 19-4 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benton will take on Greene County Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vilonia, they will challenge Bryant at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
