Colony faced Lathrop in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Malemutes 4-3. Colony haven't had any issues with Lathrop recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Avrie Geigerich was the driving force of Colony's attack as she scored all four of Colony's goals, bringing her season total up to 26 goals.

Colony's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Lathrop, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Lathrop will square off against West Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Colony will be paying especially close attention to the Malemutes' matchup: after the Malemutes face off against Wasilla, they'll take on Colony again at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
