Balboa School's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jahmarian Forrester, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds, and Jamaal Phatty who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Phatty pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Promise Otunu, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
The Rock National is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for Balboa School, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-10.
