La Salle has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on The Naches Valley Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Naches Valley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on La Salle, who comes in off a win.
La Salle can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 28-7 margin over Wahluke. The win was just what La Salle needed coming off of a 28-0 defeat in their prior match.
La Salle's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jaiden James, who rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and Johan Valladares, who rushed for 120 yards on only nine carries. Tyler Do got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Naches Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Toppenish.
The losing side was boosted by Thane Denny, who rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown.
La Salle's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Naches Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's game: La Salle has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 243.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Naches Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 150.6 per game. It's looking like Friday's game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
La Salle came up short against Naches Valley when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 32-22. Can La Salle avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
