After a string of three wins, Hargrave's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were outmatched by the Glen Rose Tigers and fell 64-34. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 965th, while the Tigers are ranked ninth).

Hargrave's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Glen Rose, the win (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 21-1.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Hargrave Falcons take on the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Glen Rose, they and Canton will face off at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Glen Rose is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
