Bremond is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Falls City is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bremond Tigers will take on the Falls City Beavers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bremond had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by the Yellowjackets on the road to the tune of 55-13. 55 seems to be a good number for Bremond as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
It was another big night for Koben Zan, who rushed for 218 yards and five touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 127 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Morehead, who picked up 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Falls City took their matchup at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 55-22 win over Rocksprings.
Braylon Johnson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 212 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries, while also throwing for 70 yards and two touchdowns on only four passes. Johnson's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. Jacob Swierc was another key contributor, rushing for 77 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Bremond is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Falls City, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 9-3.
