Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harrison). They walked away with an 85-74 victory over the North Florida Christian Eagles on Friday. Given the Hoyas' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 152nd in Georgia, while the Eagles are ranked 485th in Florida), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Florida Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jace Riggan, who went 7 for 17 on his way to 24 points in addition to five assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Freeland, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 15 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Harrison's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for North Florida Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Harrison will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Pebblebrook at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for North Florida Christian, they will look to defend their home court on January 4, 2025 against St. John Paul II at 7:00 p.m.
