They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 74-72 win over Snook Christian Academy on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
L.E.A.D. Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Donovan Dean out in front who scored 23 points along with six assists and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. Evan Lanasa was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Snook Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Roshad Harris, who dropped a double-double on 38 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Harris' 15th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Trevior Solorzano, who scored 13 points.
L.E.A.D. Academy's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-9. As for Snook Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
