Despite the loss, Newcastle saw an underclassman step up: Taylor "TJ" Bradford rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns.
Tuttle's win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.0 points per game. As for Newcastle, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tuttle will face off against Classen SAS at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Classen SAS is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Newcastle, they will head out on the road to face off against Bethany at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Bethany is ranked 47th, while Newcastle is ranked 28th).
