After two weeks on the road, Central is heading back home. On Friday they take on Wilson at 7:30 PM. Central aren't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them last game, maybe the team has another upset up their sleeve.
After a disappointing zero points in their last matchup, Central made sure to put some points up on the board against Bray-Doyle last Friday. Central took down Bray-Doyle 36-20. Senior Braden Edens, who rushed for 84 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Central's success. In fact, with 16 tackles Edens was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot point totals in their last 5 games, Wilson fizzled out. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-38 punch to the gut against Waurika. The low total for Wilson limited their streak of high-flying scores to five in a row.
Central's win lifted them to 2-3 while Wilson's loss dropped them down to 5-1. We'll find out if Central can add another positive mark to their record or if Wilson can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Central's step.
