The Dallas HSAA Red Blue Angels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They lost to Greenhill on the road by a decisive 72-53 margin.
Greenhill found their leader in underclassman Jaxson Thompson, who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. Thompson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Juan Barrientos, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Dallas HSAA Red's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Greenhill, the victory (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 24-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dallas HSAA Red will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on John Paul II at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Greenhill, they will head out on the road to square off against Cistercian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cistercian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 559th, while Greenhill is ranked 136th).
