Ka'u will be playing at home against Kohala at at 12:00 PM on Saturday. Ka'u are cruising in on a four-game winning streak while Kohala are stumbling in off of three consecutive losses.
Ka'u won the last time they met up with Pahoa, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Ka'u made easy work of Pahoa last Saturday and carried off a 58-28 win. No one put up better numbers for Ka'u than sophomore Bobby Pilanca-Emmsley, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 406 yards and 3 touchdowns. This marked the 4th contest in which Pilanca-Emmsley has rushed for over 100 yards.
Two weeks ago, Kohala faced Pahoa in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Kohala were given a punishing 0-40 loss at the hands of Pahoa. If Kohala were hoping to take revenge for the 6-40 loss against Pahoa the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Ka'u took their matchup against Kohala three weeks ago by a conclusive 30-6 score. Will Ka'u repeat their success, or does Kohala have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
